1What are the services of Tsar Visit’s suggested excursions?
The list of benefits included in the excursion price is indicated both on the website’s excursion form and on the voucher you get when your booking is completed. Depending on the visit, the price includes a qualified guide in the language of your choice, and/or the tickets to the museums or mentioned attractions in the program, and/or transport (by car/minibus/bus/boat, depending on the number of people in the group and the destination). Tips, or extras such as the cost of taking photographs in the museums, are not included in the excursions price.
2How do you choose the guides you work with?
All of our guides are professionals who are experienced in accompanying groups of all sizes to the mentioned museums. Often members of local associations of guides, our professional guides are trained to create interesting visits to museums, specific areas, or districts of the city you are visiting. We also pay particular attention to customer feedback and evaluation of our guides, allowing us to establish a ranking of the guides we employ.
3How and under what conditions may I modify or cancel my excursion?
The client can modify or cancel his booking only by contacting Tsar Visit at the email address client@tsarvisit.com in English, French or Russian.
If the cancellation occurs less than one week (7 days) before the tour, the tour will not be refunded if entrance tickets are included. If the tour does not include entrance tickets, it can be refunded if the cancellation request is made up to 3 days (72 hours) before the tour. The amount refunded will correspond to the amount paid by the client, minus 2% of this amount, corresponding to the payment fees on www.tsarvisit.com.
Tsar Visit keeps the right to cancel or modify certain tours or excursions without prior notice if the comfort and/or safety of travelers requires it, in case of force majeure, strikes, demonstrations, administrative decisions, weather conditions or exceptional closures. If the client wishes to cancel the tour due to a modification of the tour by Tsar Visit (due to the above-mentioned points), the refund of the tour will be full and the payment fees (2%) will also be refunded.
Tsar Visit cannot be held responsible for changes made to the reservation in the event of force majeure and other aggravating circumstances that may arise in the tourism industry and which are not attributable to Tsar Visit, in particular in the following cases: cancellation, delay or postponement of a flight by the airlines, changes in the deadlines for obtaining a visa from the Embassy, or refusal by the Embassy to issue a visa. Nevertheless, our team will try its best to find an alternative arrangement, depending on the availability of suitable guides and the available tour times of the sites you wish to visit.
4Where does my excursion begin? How will I recognize my guide? What happens if I can’t find my guide or if I am late for the beginning of the excursion?
The majority of our excursions begin close to the site you are going to visit (or at the first place to be visited in the case of a city tour, for example). You will find the address of the meeting point on your voucher, a plan of how to access the meeting point, and the phone number of your guide who you can contact directly. If you cannot find your guide or access the meeting point, please contact us as quickly as possible.
Please try not to be late for an excursion. To avoid inconveniencing the other members of the group and to not compromise the slots allocated by our partners, we must start the visits at the indicated time. If you are late in the context of a private visit, your guide may wait for you but modify or even shorten the duration of your program, in order to respect the time slots of your excursion made available by our partners.
5Why are certain excursions unavailable on the dates I ask for?
Our excursions are based on the operating hours of the museums and monuments you would like to visit. In addition to the usual closing days, certain attractions or monuments may be closed for reasons beyond our control. Additionally, during the touristic season (from May to August), museums and palaces may restrict the daily allowed number of visitors. If the excursion you would like to experience is unavailable on the date you prefer, we invite you to try to book the excursion on another date. Do not hesitate to consult our list of suggested excursions and the dates they are available.
6What is the difference between a private group and an open group?
A private group is a group of visitors consisting of you and your family/friends: you choose the date, the exact number of the members. The schedule of the excursions you would like to take, and the appropriate guides will be provided by Tsar Visit. The cost of your trip will depend on the number of the guests: the larger your group is, the better the price per person will be, although a private group is limited to 20 people. In case you wish to organize a private group with more than 20 guests, contact us at client@tsarvisit.com and we will provide you with a personalized quote as quickly as possible.
An open group follows an excursion with fixed dates, as arranged by Tsar Visit. The excursion group connects people from different walks of life but who speak the same language. The program is the same as for a private group. We regularly organize open groups for the most popular tourist attractions, but also for those lesser-known sites such as the Teremnoy Palace or Space City.
7How can I give my opinion on the excursion or the performance of our guide?
After your excursion is completed, you will receive a survey from us in your email inbox. You will be asked for your opinion on the trip and on your guide’s performance. All returned surveys are taken into consideration, and will be used to improve future visits. We are only satisfied if you are pleased with your experience, and we continue to improve our services through your comments and suggestions.
